Don’t worry, Marzie, I’ll try to be there when you review movie 9. After hearing you point out the plot holes and canonical errors, it makes me realize “Hey, you’re right”! But let’s face it, none of the sequels could ever match up or compare to the first film.
I noticed review for number 7 was on TGWTG, but how come it wasn’t posted here?
Oh, about number 7, I’ll have to agree that the animation got a bit better, not by much but it still isn’t the artistic animation of Don Bluth. Oh, also, I always kind of considered Pterano as one of those not-really-evil-just-misunderstood type villains.
I had to ask the same as IndigoDragoness, why the VII wasn’t posted here?
Well, then i have put the comments of the VII here:
The VII was the first in the series to use digital ink and paint and computer techniques for the animation rather than transferring the characters to cels (I-VI), that is why the animation look way better that the elder one.
You mark a plot hole in this one, I mark another, in the escene when Littlefoot, Cera, Petrie, and Spike are crossing a canyon on vines, and Cera complains that every time they do this she is always at the back of the line. However, Spike is almost always the one at the back of the line, even in the picture/logo of the serie, Cera is in front of the line just after Ducky.
Now, in this moovie (VIII) you said that sharptooth are a constant ( or only problem) but in the previous movie there were non one, aside for flashback.
The fact is, this movies get worse with the time by the fact that they are ignoring what the previous has been saying, rather than for pointless song or for stupid plot device.
Dinosaurs where in fact warm blooded. They are actually nothing like reptiles, they’re the ancestors of birds and though these movies where made before the discovery, many Dinos had feathers. http://wtfhub.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/real-trex.jpg Although I wouldn’t harp on this movie about the science anyways, I mean it has an Apatosaurus from the Jurassic period, an Edmontosaurus from the Cretaceous and a Pterosaurs (which wasn’t a dinosaur and actually was a lizard and cold blooded.) from the Triassic period.
I’m surprised you tolerated this movie as much as you did. Having sat through all of them, this is my pick for the worst film in the series. the plot is not so bad, but some of the actions involved are atrocious. The thicknose song has lines which would have been good as dialogue but are terrible in the song context (and, really, just about all lines of the songs are terrible in context). I couldn’t believe how long it took that ice to break when Thicknose flops down on it, or how in the world that little vegitation the springs are sustaining could possibly feed all the dinos of the Great Valley for very long.
